Over 100% of our families have been affected by Hurricane Ida while continuing to struggle with the restrictions of COVID-19. As a result, many have been displaced, isolated and have had limited interactions with peers. We need supplies to create an art and a STEM group. Art provides creative ways to express emotions appropriately. Students will create a variety of art projects using the vinyl cutter, heat press, and jewelry supplies to create club shirts and posters as well as design bracelets and visual arts items. The Roller Coaster Challenge will be a fun way to learn about STEM and how math and science can be fun and support classroom learning. These activities will help them to create together while respecting social distance guidelines and support social emotional wellness and creativity.
