I am requesting books which will help my English with a Second Language students and others to become avid readers. Students can select a book to read for themselves and to their peers. They can pair-share in small groups or a whole group. Students can begin to write their own opinion and thoughts about a book they have selected and learn one of their skills in writing. Students can recommend books they have read to friends and family. Students can read books and identify story elements and also write a story of their own to share with other classmates. By reading these books of diversity, students will learn to appreciate different cultures as well identify with the characters. Students will learn to appreciate a good book and learn to love reading on a whole.
