Physical movement is linked to higher academic performance. The seating I've chosen allows my students to wobble and rock, which is movement that helps to increase oxygen flow to the brain. This movement will help my special needs students focus and concentrate better. Flexible seating also helps engage the core muscles, which in turn helps improve concentration. Movement is one of the sensory inputs that is especially helpful for students with special needs like ADHD, ADD, and ASD. This flexible seating will be used during small group times and or as needed.
