All requested materials will be utilized within the academic setting in order to support improved speech and language development amongst a diverse group of students receiving therapeutic intervention for communication deficits. Weaknesses within receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency/stuttering, and social skills will all be targeted with these items. Functional vocabulary will be emphasized through the use of repetitive language and visual supports. Book activities will be utilized in conjunction with visuals/puppets to improve pre-literacy skills. Bean bags will be provided as alternative seating to increase attention and motivation through flexible seating.
