Reading is the pathway to success. I want to build a classroom library that is relevant and representative of my students. I want our classroom library to become a place my students love and look forward to spending time in each day. Our current library is outdated and students are not always interested in the variety of books, by providing our classroom with new, diverse books, I can envision a beautiful culture around reading and one I plan to foster throughout the year. Having alternate seating for the students is beneficial in that, most students have been home over the last year and a half. Some have been learning from the couch, a bed, or the floor. I want to create an atmosphere that allows the students to choose the traditional seating of a desk and chair, or give students the opportunity to choose another seating that may better suit their needs. Each item will be loved and respected, as we are a team, and teamwork makes the dreamwork.
