My students are in need of reading materials. They struggle to find age-appropriate books in my classroom library. I have a varied level of readers in the First Grade class, from ELs reading below the level to students reading at or slightly above grade level. All students are eager to pick books from the library but often are not able to find level-appropriate books as the library is limited. These books will help me build a better library for the students and so encouraging reading at a young age by having a variety of books the students will want to read.
