I am a first year teacher and want to focus instruction on effective note taking practices and data tracking. I want my students to be able to keep track of their own data by keeping all of their graded assignments in one location and taking notes that encourage effective study habits that will lead them to passing. I also would like the students to take a more hands-on approach when it comes to learning so I plan to utilize geometry manipulative to assist in learning, as well. I want to introduce my students to learning styles that they can use cross content and in their academic future. I would like my students to finish this year knowing that I did everything I could to make math as fun and simple as possible.
