My students are students with disabilities and rotate from the general education class into my special education room. Most of them have a learning disability and/or a diagnosis of ADHD. Because of this, focus is difficult to maintain for them. These desks will give them a break from sitting all day in a classroom and allow them to stand and get in some movement while still participating with the rest of the class. It will also cut down on in class disturbances due to the need to move around. The students will stay in the room and not miss out on valuable instructional time when asking to go the bathroom in order to fill the need for movement.
