This year much like last year, it is important to help make sure school is a clean, safe environment for students. I am so excited to be moving to first grade this year. First grade is a big reading year! I would love to add to my classroom library with these books that I know the students will love and look forward to reading. In my classroom, we will be starting each morning with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) bins. With these bins, students have the opportunity to explore and create using one of these subcategories. I know that the items that I have picked will help build up their imaginations, and is a great way to start the day. Everything in this donor chose will be used everyday in a lot of different ways. One way in specific the books will be used not only in our classroom library but with reading lessons or social and emotional learning lessons. During a lesson about taking responsibility I plan on reading the book “ But it’s not my fault”. In this lesson student will discuss and learn about how and why we take responsibility of our actions. Students social and emotions learning is more important than ever after last year not being in a normal school environment all year.
