My students are Native American students from grades K - 6 in a K - 12 school. The students can quickly become disengaged during lessons and do not understand the possibilities education can give them. However, they love computer class. They attend a public charter school placed on their reservation. About 99% of the school is considered at-risk for reasons from disabilities and teenage parents to income. Our school has been a place for these students to come to when they are not successful in the public school just off of their reservation. In fact, many of our students do not leave the reservation and have no idea what a sidewalk is.
