The products I have selected will help my TK-K, moderate to severe, special education students learn academics, improve fine motor skills, and practice their social emotional skills. These tools will help my students learn to recognize and write the alphabet and numbers in a way that is more engaging than traditional methods. They will improve their fine motor skills by tracing (with the wooden pencil or fingers), squeezing, lifting, and placing the objects in the correct place. The tools will also allow students to practice their social emotional skills. There is no doubt that frustration will occur; however, each student will be encouraged to use techniques to be self-aware (acknowledge their feelings) and self-manage (use a technique to deescalate).
