Students will use these materials to design and create their own custom jewelry in a 3d program. They will then 3d print it using the casting resign. Once they have a resin replica of their jewelry they will use the vacuum, a plaster called investment and a casting flask to create a mold The casting resin will then be burned out in a kiln leaving a void int the investment shaped like their jewelry. They will then pour melted copper, or silver if they choose, to create a metal version of that jewelry. The students will then use the Dremel's and buffing compound to shine up their finished projects. All this will give the a experience in metal working and jewelry making to dice if it a career they would like to go into.
