My preschool students with “special needs” greatly need sensory equipment and supports for optimal learning experiences in order to facilitate communication and interaction, regulate their bodies, and help them to feel calm, safe, and focused to learn and grow! Sensory items requested include light filters to reduce fluorescent lighting, adaptive seating equipment, and sensory-based learning toys. These materials will help me to adequately meet their individual needs and provide an environment for developmentally appropriate learning in a diverse classroom. Materials were chosen with health and safety in mind and can be easily cleaned.
