Children come to school each day and are expected to be ready to learn with a smile. These emotions are displayed differently from one child to another. When a child does not know how to implement effective strategies to handle their emotions, it can have an impact on their academics and social interactions. Sometimes adults forget that children are little bodies with big emotions. Children need a safe place to express and process their feelings. As a school counselor I would like to provide the students with a space in which they can release, process, and understand these emotions. The students will also learn healthy ways to express their emotions to reduce the impact on their academic success.

About my class
