These materials will be used daily in our classroom library and during daily read aloud time. Each selection was specifically chosen to enrich and encourage diversity, inclusion, and knowledge of other cultures. These selections will help each student understand more about the diversity, history, and how they each contribute to our beautiful world. Knowledge is power and it is my hope that my students become activists for all cultures and communities. These selections will be paired with reading and social studies lessons to connect learning to additional informational texts as well. The love for others and appreciation for culture, inclusion, and diversity begins with education and exposure. These books are the beginning of a movement for my students.
