The standard appearance of a public school classroom is not always the most appealing, especially to young children. As they are beginning their school experience, their classroom must be a place where they always want to come back. My students need to feel safe and calm so they can grow socially and academically. Including string lights and the lamp in our classroom will create a peaceful atmosphere for us to learn and play. I'm hoping these lighting accessories will help my students feel a sense of home when they are in our classroom. A couch is a perfect addition to make our classroom feel like home. The reading nook will immediately become more inviting for my students to begin their exploration of reading. They will fall in love with the process of reading and learning as they begin to have positive interactions with books. Also, it will be a great place for children to just chill out if they need to!
