Part of the Dual Language Immersion program involves spending half of the school day with one teacher immersed in English and the other half of the school day with another teacher immersed in Spanish. In order to create a clear, consistent, and effective process for students to store their belongings, it is best for our DLI Kindergarten students to store their back packs in the hallway. Students will frequently need to access their back packs throughout the day. By doing this, we would be able to optimize instructional time and avoid unnecessary interruptions and transitions back and forth between classrooms. Due to some constraints, we are unable to place cubbies or hooks in the hallway. These flex-space, mobile back pack carts will help us create a group of not only bilingual students, but also responsible and organized learners.
