My students are in the 7th grade and attend an inner city school with the majority of students participating in the free/reduced lunch program. Math can be a struggle for many students and it is especially a struggle for my students. The students I teach enter the seventh grade lacking many basic math skills. It is my job to get these at risk students back on track and working at grade level. My students are extremely eager and motivated to master these skills. They are filled with so much joy when they get the right answer. It brings me so much happiness to hear my students say “I AM GOOD AT MATH!” My students are truly a great group of kids and they deserve every opportunity to be successful in math!
