With so much going on in the world today, students need an environment in which they feel safe, loved, and secure. By practicing mindfulness, students will learn how to calm their mind and body, stay engaged, and curb behavioral issues. I want my students to know that they control their destiny and I will guide them throughout their journey. The Teacher Pay Teacher gift cards will help me achieve this throughout the school year by allowing me access to a variety of mindfulness activities. In addition, the mindfulness journals will allow students to have daily opportunities to reflect on those lessons. The additional vocabulary journals will provide a space for students to keep track of specific words we encounter in our learning. Students will learn to be "Right Here" in the moment and transfer those thoughts to their writing.("Write Now") I believe this process will help students to regulate their emotions and learn more about compassion and empathy.
