Technology provides an additional way for my students to take charge of and be engaged in their learning. Using the laptops will permit students to listen, practice, and learn different math and reading concepts. The online sites we use supplement my classroom instruction. My students listen to and read stories online with Vooks. They also love visiting websites like espark.com where they are learning, but they think they are playing a game. Engaging students with different types of materials help me to reach all different types of learners. Students can learn at their own pace. Using this type of technology is second nature to them and something they gravitate towards. Having 3 laptops will provide them an additional way to be actively involved as they learn and will give me an additional resource to help them.
