My students have began to rediscover their love for learning. During a majority of the 2020-2021 school year, my students were participating in virtual learning. Sometimes the environment they were in was chaotic or difficult to learn in. This year, we are completely in person and my students are still learning to adjust to what school looks like to them. I want for them to have a comforting, calm environment to come to class in each day. There are several elements I'm looking to add to my classroom throughout the years but I want to begin with a few items such as bookshelves, rugs, plants, and fairy lights to create a calming and welcoming environment for my students.
