Nearpod is a digital resource that is equally useful in the classroom and in remote learning. Through the use of formative assessment tools, I am able to gauge student understand in the minute and address any misconceptions or gaps in knowledge before moving forward with the lesson. Nearpod allows me to add interactive elements to video content to keep students focused and engaged. Additionally, I can create games to review material at the end of a unit or prior to quizzes and tests. Because students can participate in the exact same lesson from home or asynchronously on their own time, it makes doing missed assignments very convenient. If we end up going back to remote or hybrid learning, Nearpod is an invaluable resource.
