Reading is essential to becoming a better student, person, and citizen in our society. My students will learn about diversity, empathy, grit, and determination from the books selected which are all skills they will need to cope in the world. Reading is essential for students to rise above the ordinary and to become the people they are meant to be. Students will read independently and will share insight from their books with their peers in group settings. They will journal about their readings which will increase writing skills. Students will encourage other students to read by giving a book reviews. They will use skills inferencing, critical thinking, writing, speaking skills, and so many more.

About my class
