Having daily snacks for my students helps ensure that when they are hungry, in need of an energy booster, or just need a pick me up, they have it. Most of these kiddos come from homes that don't have the extra money to send snacks to school. After a morning of classwork and recess, they need a snack! The snacks would be given daily and they would have choices for what they wanted. The kids always enjoy a yummy treat to break up the school day and like to have time for an auditory break for their ears.
