Social Emotional Learning is such an important part of education and it has finally received the attention that it deserves in the education field, especially over the last year due to COVID. I believe that SEL is an integral part in educating the whole child and should be embedded in all academic curricula. With a TeachersPayTeachers gift card, I will be able to purchase SEL curriculums and materials that have been created and tested by fellow educators to incorporate into my instruction. I will also be purchasing books, supplies, and tools for students to continue learning how to take responsibility for their learning and their emotional responses. My goal is that my students will learn these SEL skills and that will help them throughout all aspects of life. This will enable them to be empowered, confident, and successful in all their endeavors.
