The Samsung laptops will be used in the classroom for instructional purposes. The skills that my students learn will be applied both at home and at school. A technology area will be set up in the classroom and students will rotate to this area two times a week. While students work in the Technology Center, they will apply a skill that had been taught that week. Students will have ample opportunities to practice specific skills and to share their work with their peers. With each successful share time, students will build confidence in creating and collaborating in the online world. They will learn skills that they will carry with them to high school and beyond. Some emphasized skills will include learning about Google Classroom and how to join a live meeting. In addition, students will learn how to create presentations using a variety of digital resources, identify the best tool to communicate a concept, idea, or information, create simple slide presentations using text with graphics, use digital pictures, and use standard formatting toolbars
