These magazines will help expose my first grade students to a variety of science topics and provide them with in hand reading materials. I will use the magazines during whole group to lead discussions and activities, In small groups, and for home use. Our students are extremely behind due to being out of school for over a year. The magazines will benefit in helping my students understand many science concepts and close the learning gaps created with Covid. My students already show an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with printed text.
