These materials will help my students in the classroom when we have our independent reading time. I want to provide my students with a wide range of books to choose from in my classroom library and hopeful find something that they will enjoy! I want to try to incorporate more forms of reading other than your traditional chapter book which is why I have included multiple graphic novels into my list of books. I also wanted to try to incorporate more diverse authors into my classroom library and hope that I can continue to add more books that fit under this category. I want my students to find joy in reading and I want to be able to help them find something they like to read whether that be sports, fantasy, graphic novels, action, or poetry! I think it is important for my students to feel scene in the books they read or find ways to escape into their imaginations. I hope that I can continue to provide materials like this for my students in the future and want my classroom library to grow and become rich with content and diversity!
