COVID-19 has taught the profession of education to think globally in many aspects from the way we interact with each other as well as in terms of technology. With this in mind, this monitor and printer will allow students to continue to learn and even enhance their learning experience(s) by turning our classroom into a transportation vessel that will allow us to interact with every corner of the world through virtual field trips. Using platforms like Zoom my students will be able to collaborate with students from around the world as well as with tour guides both near and far without having to leave the safe haven of our classroom. This can only be accomplished through audio/visual technology such as this. Afterwards, students will be able to not only document their virtual field trip experience but also add visual evidence to their commentary with screenshots from the virtual trip. it's said that a picture says 1000 words right? And by adding pictures to give weight to their experience summary (it's), this will make a more lasting impression to what my students will take away from the experience. Other activities could include creating scrapbooks and graphic organizers to promote memorable learning. This technology will bring the world into our classroom to inspire students year after year!
