In our classroom, we believe that all of us have the ability to learn how to become independent adults. Because my students have cognitive and intellectual disabilities, the curriculum we focus more on is independent living. One of the learning experiences I want to teach my students is a multitude of different work, social, and life experience skills. Then they can take these skills with them into their careers in adulthood. The register will help them practice money. This project also contains some school and classroom supplies for our students and teachers. The binder and folders will help us get their work in one place. The white board and calendar will help us practice writing / learning the date. The shopping basket will help them practice their grocery shopping.
