My school is a public school in suburban North Central Florida. My students come from many varied backgrounds. I have students of all colors and ethnicity's. They each carry their own story of trials and tribulations with them. To me these stories do not matter as each is a lovely child who deserves the right to grow up in a world where they can learn and achieve beyond what their parents have done. I have many students who have parents who can not read themselves. The engaging activities they participate in during school hours is basically the only reinforcement they get for the instruction that is needed to be a successful reader. My students are happy, loving, and care about the world around them. I feel that with these added materials, they will one day become more than what any one has ever dreamed they could be.
