I am currently in the process of launching a school newspaper. This is a fun but difficult project as we are breaking ground on a publication that has never been produced before and it will go to over 3000 students and their families. My students are both excited and intimidated by the prospect of this project and I want to help them gain confidence as they find their voices and perspectives within our school community. The materials I've chosen for this project include mentor texts through the use of NYT for teens, various books on journalism and writing.
