In first grade, we model reading to help students become life long readers. The books I have chosen deal with healthy emotions . This project is meant to make books available to children so they can have a growth mindset. Each book addresses emotional well being and will help the students understand how they feel about themselves. These books will be shared and discussed in class many times. They will also be available for students to read independently. The books will be displayed in the classroom so when students are struggling with social and emotional issues they can sit down and remember that it will be ok.
