This headgear is an essential part of the sport of wrestling. It provides safety from head, mouth and ear injuries and is necessary to promote a safe wrestling event and/or practice. The UIl requires that all wrestlers compete with headgear, and unfortunately, our program was not equipped with it previously. In an attempt to revamp the school's wrestling program, I would like to start by ensuring that the items that provide safety for my athletes are available for each and every member of the team. Headgear is essential and is much needed.
