Great Lakes Academy is a high-performing public charter school that emphasizes preparing our students for high school, college, and career readiness. The students at Great Lakes Academy see impressive academic growth each year. With a growing Hispanic population, I have been recently hired to work with students to help them develop their English and academic Spanish. In order to provide effective language instruction, we need adequate supplies for the upcoming school year. Providing students with formal instruction in Spanish will not only help the students identify with their culture and native language, but also lay the groundwork for them to develop an extremely valuable skill in a global economy.
