I want to update my classroom library to reflect the diversity of the students that I teach. I have students from many different backgrounds due to the high number of military families. They deserve to have books with main characters that look like them. This will make these characters come to life and increase interest. I want them to continue to have a love of reading. They will have the opportunity to not only read chaoter books on their own , but to also have books that I can read aloud to them.
