The key is the simplicity of the software: no games and no distractions, just pure targeted math practice that can be utilized for interventions no matter what the student's academic level is. I can identify and intervene when a student is struggling on the spot using its live panel whether they are on campus or at home. IXL gives me access to material from pre-K through 12, effectively allowing me to meet the students at their own level with rigorous material. This software allows me to access a deeper catalog of high quality material, organized and cataloged by skill. Its incremental point earning system challenges the student when working independently and it can be also used for small groups and/or 1 on 1 intervention.
