My wish is to have a larger class library. Books are an integral part of teaching first grade students to read. But books that are the right reading level are essential. Students will get choose books, on their reading level, to take home as well as read in class. These books allow students to become better readers and thinkers as they interact with the text independently. The more variety of books in each level I have to offer the more interested the students become in reading and choosing new books.
