I strive to provide a classroom that is a safe space for all children. Equity and inclusion are important to my classroom. Part of creating a safe space that is equitable is having functional, purposeful and aesthetically pleasing furniture to organize learning centers such as the Book Nook I am envisioning. Along with the request of furniture I am requesting dictionaries to empower students to be inquires and self directed when spelling words and making sentences. The dictionaries would be a useful tool. Likewise, the sheet covers will help display student work within the book nook area.
