Our students need social skills. Many are from broken homes, living in poverty and without examples of how to interact with others, They spend a large amount of time playing video games alone or with someone in a different setting. Playing games teaches skills that are not the main focus of academics. Students will learn to communicate and cooperate with others, strategize, be patient and realize losing is part of the process. I will help them work through their emotions in order to prepare them to be successful members of society as they get older. School is demanding and stressful for everyone. Every other Friday for one hour I just want my students to have FUN.
