The items selected for this project will enable my students to self regulate, and calm themselves through sensory play. Students with behavior and sensory regulation disabilities need materials that will provide an outlet for frustration. The sand, water marbles, timers, and containers for all the materials will ensure a quiet safe place for students to calm themselves. Using sensory to help a student read is one of the most effective ways for learning. The touch and slide reading materials will not only help our students sound out letter sounds but help slide letter sounds together to make words independently! A huge success for students. Lastly the Sunshine bundle will help our room which is often separated be part of the school by using the schools theme for the year in the room as a daily reminder that we are a "Rainbow of Possibilities"!
