I believe children need adequate movement for their best thinking. When they feel comfortable and safe in their classroom, they will be able to better attend to lessons, be kinder to others, and truly feel part of the classroom community. All students will benefit from this project. As adults, we are able to get up and stretch, use the restroom or water cooler, or take a short walk if needed at work. Brain research indicates that in order to stay engaged, our bodies need natural movement. Traditional classrooms do not foster this type of flexibility.

About my class
