Every child deserves to be exposed to a print-rich classroom library filled with a variety of genres that will peak their interests. Every day my students will be provided an opportunity to read a self-selected book of their choice. By putting books in the hands of my students, it will provide them with additional opportunities to increase reading skills, build reading fluency, and their love of reading. In order to accomplish this, we need books! My school represents a large portion of low-income families with at-risk students. They, too, deserve a chance to become successful members of their school and community. Reading takes you places and it all starts with a classroom library full of engaging books to help create those adventures.

About my class
