If my students had a collection of books of their own, they would read them for pleasure, all the while, improving their reading skills. The best way to increase reading ability skills is to read more often, and these books will help my students improve their reading skills. I believe they would take good care of their own books and appreciate having them. Having these books will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. There are a variety of books at different reading levels so I will be able to pair them up accordingly. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
