Flexible seating can help students stay alert and focused! It can also keep things fun! My students come for 30 minute sessions and keeping them engaged is really important in order to ensure they get the most out of our lesson. Being able to provide my students with a choice in how they sit in my class helps them have some control over their environment. The chairs I have picked are also beneficial to students who seek out sensory input because they wobble and bounce. I’m hoping to create a space that feels inclusive for the variety of needs that come in and out of my classroom!
