Our school is located in a small town in which the major industrial plant closed several years ago. The per student expenditure is one of the lowest in the state, averaging around $1000 less than the wealthier districts. My students are enthusiastic learners and enjoy hands-on activities. However, due to the scarcity of funding, the purchase of STEM materials is not a top priority.
