Math can be done anywhere. Practicing your multiplication facts, writing out the factors of a number, working on the transition from Fraction to Decimal to Percent are all things you can figure out on paper. Many school district are changing their students over to one to one technology allowing teachers to embrace technology in the classroom. This is great, but there are vital first steps that a student must learn to be proficient on the computer. We are in a generation of students who can harness technology for entertainment purposes but struggle to add, subtract, multiply and divide in the 6th grade.
