We will use the Storyworks magazines to read, analyze and discuss as a class using reading strategies. We will review, apply, and connect to new vocabulary. Students will then participate in literature discussion groups where they can have a deeper dialogue about the text. The stories are diverse and engaging to provide motivation to all of my readers. Students can then take these magazines home to share and discuss with their family. I can’t wait for them to be excited to receive their own weekly magazine and the joy of becoming proficient readers!
