The school I teach at is a Title I school. Approximately 78% of the students at this school qualify for free or reduced lunch which is the government indicator for children in poverty. My class is made up of wonderful children who are mostly English Language Learners.(English is not their first language.) The parents in this neighborhood work hard and support the school in many ways, but they do not have the money for some of the extras that the children could use.
