My students have a natural love for reading and learning; they just need the right books to add fuel to their fires. I want to build a library of science books so my students can explore different content and discover what interests them most. Just like learning Spanish, French, or Korean, science has its own language that my students need to know so that they can gain access to conversations and opportunities in different fields. Science literacy doesn't always get the same attention as other subjects do, but it's important to me that my students gain this experience to unlock future possibilities and careers. A library like this will give my students a choice. There is power in walking up to a bookshelf and getting to pick the book that speaks to one the most and then getting lost in that book. I can't wait for my students to read about stars and plate tectonics, climate change, and chemical reactions. Help me make this dream a reality!
